Vishnu Chemicals (VCL) has formed a 50:50 joint venture with France's DCX Chrome SAS to build a greenfield manufacturing plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The facility will produce 6,000 tonnes per annum of high-purity chromium metal, targeting global aerospace standards, deep-water oil exploration, and aviation markets while boosting India's specialty chemical self-reliance.
